Initiating CHOLAI - ACL

On February 9th 1987, with the help of two other Social Workers this Organization was registered as a "TRUST".

Aim of the Trust

To eliminate Children from the Hazardous Industries and help all children to get their Child Rights in order to enjoy their child hood.

Process Undergone

With regard to the aim I started my first service at "Chrompet" near Chennai in a Slum area where children were working in leather Tanneries. My service thrust day by day increased to help the children who are working in different field like Stone Quarries, Brick Chambers and Handloom Silk Industry.

Many foreign funding agencies and Indian Government including state Government had supported our programmes. One of the main funding agencies is Andheri -Hilfe- Germany who supports CHOLAI - ACL to work more rapidly in the field of Child Laborers.
